More about water quality protection and soil protection related services

The water-related legislation and the resulting obligations are extremely diverse. If a facility wants to use water, the conditions depend on the intended purpose and the way in which the facility wants puchase water.

Water users are required to apply for their permits in water management permitting procedures. Dischargers of waste waters must pay environmental burden fee after some of their discharges. In most cases these discharges require a self monitoring plan which are subject to approval of the environmental authority, as well as associated with the sampling, and laboratory tests should be able to demonstrate compliance with the discharge limits. The the cost associated with the discharges are usually dependent on the pre-treatment and treatment technology and its effectiveness. It is therefore important to how effectively they operate, because the discharge load is proportional to the sewage treatment charge that water treatment facility operators charge for their partners. In addition, certain water uses and discharges are subject of reporting obligations. It is important to know that activities associated hazardous materials' risk can only be carried out with the necessary and authorized technical protection. This is necessary, as many sources can contaminate soils, and it is enough to take into account the existing technologies and their combination in the industrial sectors and in the agriculture.

The prevention and activities associated with soil and groundwater endangering and burdening are require operators to obtain the necessary permits for and are subject to reporting. However these necessarily mean administration, but prevention is always cheaper, than a remediation procedure.

Either the polluter or owner of the property can be held liable for damages caused to the soil and groundwater. A serious soil contamination can make a property valueless due to its expensiveness. Therefore it is extremely important to know the condition of soil and groundwater as we have already mentioned this at Environmental Due Diligence services. Whenever a contamination has been identified at property, the most important factors will be: the type(s) of pollutants, quantity, location, any progress in the soil and/or groundwater, does it pose a threat to drinking water or living water as well as how long has it been there. The competent authority can require fact-finding reporting, delimiting of pollution, remediation and monitoring of remediation which are usually long and expensive procedures.

Of course if the pollution has already occurred, it is very important that the remediation process to be effective, both in terms of remediation work and thus the environment and the resulting costs.
